From how to order to dietary options, here’s everything you need to know about how we do things at Wong’s. General & Collection

 

What are your opening hours?

We’re open:
Tuesday to Sunday: 5:00pm – 11:00pm every week.
Closed on Mondays - even chefs need a night off!

Can I book a table?

We're a takeaway only – so it’s all about great food to enjoy at home. No table service here (unless it’s your own dining table!).

Are you open on Bank Holidays?

Yes, we're usually open on Bank Holidays except for Christmas Day and Chinese New Year. Opening hours may vary slightly on these dates, so we recommend checking our website or giving us a call in advance to confirm.

Is there parking available when I come to collect?

Yes – there’s free street parking outside our shop on Broad Street and surrounding roads. Easy to swing by and pick up your food.

 

Ordering & Delivery

Do you offer delivery or is it collection only?

We offer both delivery and collection - the best of both worlds! Order online and choose the option that suits you, or call us on 01446 721044 and let us know what works best.

Can I order online?

Yes - you can now order online for delivery or collection. If you’d prefer a chat, call 01446 721044 and we’ll take your order by phone, answer any questions, and make sure everything is just right for you.

 

Can I pre-order for a specific time?

Sure. If you’d like to schedule an order for later (say, have dinner arrive at 7pm sharp), just let us know. You’re welcome to call earlier in the day to place an advance order and tell us what time you’d like it ready, or just simply order from our website and choose a time slot that works best for you. We’ll prepare everything fresh and time it perfectly so your meal is hot and ready when you need it – whether for pickup or delivery.

What are your delivery charges?

We keep it simple:

  • Barry (including Barry Island): £2 delivery fee

  • Dinas Powys, Rhoose, Sully, Wenvoe: £3.50

What is the minimum order for delivery?

We have a £10 minimum spend on delivery.

Do you deliver to my postcode?

We deliver to a wide local area including Barry, Rhoose, Sully, Wenvoe and Dinas Powys. Call us with your postcode and we’ll confirm if you’re within our delivery radius.​​

What if I live just outside your delivery area?

Give us a call and we’ll see what we can do. We try to accommodate where possible or suggest a nearby collection spot.

Can I place a large order for a family gathering or party?

Of course! Whether it’s a family do or a quiet night in with the extended gang, we’re happy to cater. Just ring ahead so we can prepare everything fresh and on time.

 

Payments

Are you on Just Eat or Deliveroo?

We’re not on Just Eat or Deliveroo as we like to maintain the quality of the deliveries ourselves – but the good news is you can order directly with us. We take orders via our own website and by phone. This way, you get our best prices and personal service with no third-party fees. No apps needed at all – just use our easy online ordering or give us a ring, and we’ll handle the rest.

Do you accept contactless payments?

Yes – contactless payments are accepted when ordering online or paying on collection. Our checkout supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and contactless card payments.

Can I pay with cash?

Yes – we accept cash on delivery or collection. If you prefer to pay by card, you can do so securely when ordering through our website. 

 

 

Food & Menu

Can I change ingredients in a dish?

Absolutely. If you'd like your dish made with no onions, less spice, or an extra portion of something, just let us know when you call or leave a note on your online order.

Do you have any meal deals or set dinners?

We sure do. Our set meals and family dinners are great value and perfect for sharing. Check the menu or ask us when you call – we’ll happily recommend something tasty.

Can I order dishes that are not on the menu?

Yes! Dishes not listed on the menu may be available on request if ordered ahead of time. If there’s something specific you’d like, just ask when ordering - we’ll do our best to prepare it for you.

Is your full menu available online?

Yes, you can view the full menu on our website before calling to order.

Are your dishes very spicy?

Most aren’t too spicy unless marked as spicy on the menu. If you prefer it mild (or extra hot!), just ask – we’re happy to adjust where we can.

Is your meat pre-cooked or frozen?


Nope. We use fresh meat, prepared and cooked from scratch in our kitchen each day. Nothing comes pre-cooked or reheated. It’s all part of what makes our food taste so good – fresh ingredients, cooked properly, the way it should be.

 

Allergens & Dietary

Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options?

We do! We’ve got a lovely selection of veggie dishes, and many can be adapted to suit vegan diets too. Just let us know when you call, we also have a vegetarian and vegan menu here. 

Do you cater for allergies?

We’ll always do our best, but we can’t guarantee that all dishes are free from allergens. If you have any allergies or dietary concerns, please call us before placing your order so we can talk you through the options and help you make a safe choice. Please inform us if you have any of the following food allergies: Celery, Gluten, Crustaceans, Egg, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Soya, and Sulphur Dioxide. some of our dishes may contain traces of these ingredients.

Is your food halal?

All of our chicken is halal and sourced from certified suppliers. We’re always happy to help with any dietary questions, so feel free to get in touch if you need more information about specific dishes.
